Sophie’s passion and commitment drive her toward her goal of representing Australia at the highest international level.

Gymnastics is an incredibly demanding sport, both physically and financially. Annual costs can exceed $20,000, covering essentials such as coaching, equipment, competition fees, training camps, medical support, physiotherapy, remedial massage, and international travel.

Because Sophie’s schedule leaves no time for part-time work, her parents currently fund 100% of her gymnastics journey. Unfortunately, even at the top levels, athletes receive little to no financial support.

Sophie is also part of the Aussie Athlete Fund’s Million Dollar Challenge. This initiative connects 100 Aussie athletes with businesses, each working to raise $10,000 — all driving toward a shared goal of $1 million to support their sporting journeys. Thanks to the leadership of 5-time Olympian Nat Cook OAM, the $1 Million Challenge is helping Sophie push past these barriers and chase our sporting dreams.
