We are raising funds to support Sora Robinson’s journey to compete at the World Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships in Rio de Janeiro this April.

Sora is 15 years old and already one of Australia’s most accomplished young épée fencers. He is the current Australian National Champion in Under 15 and Under 17, Japan Under 17 National Champion, Kano Cup winner in both Under 17 and Under 20 (the first athlete ever to achieve this in the same year), Australia’s #1 ranked fencer in Under 17 and Under 20, an AFC 1 senior national tournament winner at just 14 years old, and a bronze medallist at the Under 17 World Cup in Manama, Bahrain.

These results reflect years of disciplined training, international competition, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

The World Championships represent a critical milestone in Sora’s development. Competing against the best young athletes in the world provides experience, confidence, ranking opportunities, and tactical growth that simply cannot be replicated at home. This event is an essential step on the pathway toward senior international competition and future Olympic qualification.

Like many elite junior athletes, Sora’s international competitions are largely self-funded by family. The costs of airfare, accommodation, entry fees, coaching support, and equipment add up quickly. Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward these expenses, helping ensure that financial barriers do not limit his opportunity to represent Australia on the world stage.

Sora trains year-round with focus and determination, balancing school with high-performance sport. As his family, we are incredibly proud of his work ethic and resilience, and we are committed to supporting his dream of competing at the highest level.
