The South Warrandyte Cricket Club – Who We Are and Why We Need Your Support

Founded in 1931, South Warrandyte Cricket Club, the proud Home of the Hawks, is a welcoming community where cricket brings people together. We’re home to junior, senior, and veteran teams and are passionate about creating a family-friendly environment that supports every player and volunteer.

Why we need your help.

Summer in Victoria means plenty of cricket and plenty of sun. Our beautiful deck overlooking Warrandyte and the surrounding hills is one of the best spots to enjoy the game, but during those long, hot afternoons there isn’t much shade for supporters and families.

We’re raising funds to install a new retractable awning that will provide much-needed sun protection for everyone watching the cricket, enjoying a meal, or sharing a drink on the deck. This improvement will make our club safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable during the warmer months.

How you can make a difference.

Every donation brings us closer to creating a shaded, welcoming space for our members, supporters, and visitors. Through our fundraising page here on the Australian Sports Foundation, all donations are tax-deductible. Your contribution will go directly toward the awning project, helping us protect our community from the harsh summer sun.
