ABOUT South West Junior Windsurf Club Incorporated

The South West Junior Windsurf Club is an all-volunteer not-for-profit incorporated organisation dedicated to making windsurfing fun and accessible to all families in the South West regardless of socioeconomic background. We do this through a dedicated group of volunteers that put in countless hours organising, administering and instructing at sessions during the spring, summer and fall. In addition, we receive generous support from Severne Sails, Starboard and Patrik Windsurfing through donated and highly discounted gear. Finally, donations and grants from local and state governments, charities, businesses, corporations, local businesses and individuals all contribute significant resources to keep us running and expand our capacity.

The SWJWC main focus is on participation, community and fun. Windsurfing is a complex activity that requires significant expertise that families without previous windsurfing experience do not have. Our dedicated volunteers provide this expertise to families in organised weekly sessions. In addition, equipment cost is a serious barrier to many families. All our members have unlimited access to our equipment library. The SWJWC is a KidSport registered club so that families that cannot afford our small annual membership fee ($150/child in 2025-26) can participate. Finally, the SWJWC is a community that gathers around the joy of seeing our local youth enjoy the best of our natural environment in the South West.
