Southside Pony Club has been a proud part of the Brisbane community since 1959 and is one of Pony Club Queensland Zone 1’s largest clubs, supporting more than 120 riders. After losing our long‑established Morningside home in 2023 due to commercial development, our club was left without any riding arenas, clubhouse, toilets, storage, or member facilities—essential infrastructure built and maintained by generations of volunteers for more than 50 years.

With support from Brisbane City Council, we relocated to the Rochedale Sports & Recreational Grounds in March 2025. However, the site had fallen into severe disrepair. There were no functional equestrian facilities, no safe riding surfaces, no amenities, and extensive overgrowth across the grounds. Since moving, our volunteers have cleared land and made the area minimally usable, but significant redevelopment is still urgently needed.

We are now seeking funding to rebuild vital equine infrastructure at Rochedale, including safe riding spaces, basic amenities, and foundational facilities required to operate as a community equestrian hub. These investments will allow us to provide safe, structured programs—including Pony Pals—support youth development, and reconnect our long‑standing community at a sustainable new home.

Rebuilding Rochedale is essential to restoring Southside Pony Club's future.
