Over the past decade, the redevelopment of Unley Oval has transformed our home into a regional sporting facility of state significance. With modern training facilities, administration offices, an exceptional match day experience, and a versatile function room, Sturt Football Club has become a true destination club.

Now, we turn our attention to the final piece of this transformation – a permanent perimeter fence at Unley Oval.

Why the Fence Matters

Since 1998, the Club has spent over $1 million on temporary fencing, money that could have been invested into our talent pathway, women’s football, and community initiatives. A permanent fence will:

• Reduce match day costs by eliminating ongoing hire expenses.
• Provide fairness by allowing us to charge entry for SANFLW matches, just as every other SANFL club can.
• Reduce safety hazards that the current temporary fencing causes to volunteers and patrons.
• Enhance the spectator experience, making Unley Oval an even more attractive venue.
• Crown the upgrades of the past decade, elevating Unley Oval to one of the premier community and SANFL venues in South Australia.
