From Four Pink Clubs to Professional Golf
Hi, I’m Taylah, and for most of my life I’ve been chasing one dream: to see how far I can take my golf and earn the opportunity to compete professionally. The funny thing is, golf wasn’t even my first sport.I grew up playing tennis, and one day my dad decided to take me to the golf course. I hated it.A few years later, after breaking my collarbone, he convinced me to give golf another chance. This time, something clicked.I started with four pink golf clubs in my bag. Before long, the challenge wasn’t getting me to the golf course it was getting me to leave.During school holidays, I would catch three or four buses just to get to practice. Before school, after school and on weekends, more often than not, you could find me at the golf course.I didn't know exactly where the game would take me. I just knew I loved it, and I wanted to get better.

From Canberra to representing Australia
That little girl with four pink clubs eventually earned opportunities I could only have dreamed about.I have been fortunate enough to represent Australia, compete internationally, and move halfway around the world at 19 to play NCAA Division I golf at Campbell University in the United States.During my collegiate career, I had the privilege of captaining teams at university, state and international level and being part of three NCAA Conference Championship-winning teams. But the journey hasn't always gone to plan.During my final year of college golf, I discovered that I had been competing with a fractured spine.I was told my season was over and that I wouldn't play again during my final semester. For someone who had spent so much of her life on a golf course, suddenly having the game taken away was incredibly difficult.I spent months away from competition, working through rehabilitation and doing everything I could to give myself the chance to play again.Against expectations, I made it back.In my final Conference Championship as a college golfer, I finished inside the top eight. That experience taught me a lot about resilience, but more than anything, it confirmed something for me:I wasn't ready to walk away from this dream.

Now comes my biggest challenge
Since returning home to Australia, I have continued training and competing, most recently winning the 2026 Blue Water Classic. Now I am taking the biggest step of my career so far: pursuing LPGA Q-School and making the transition from amateur and collegiate golf into the professional game. This is the opportunity I have spent years working towards. But reaching this level also comes with a financial reality that is difficult to overcome without support. The costs of pursuing professional golf include Q-School and tournament entry fees, international and domestic flights, accommodation, car hire, visas, insurance, coaching, strength and conditioning, medical and rehabilitation support, and the everyday costs of competing internationally. Before many of those additional expenses are even included, the costs run into tens of thousands of dollars.

Why I'm asking for help
My family has sacrificed an incredible amount over the years to give me the opportunity to chase this dream. They have driven the kilometres, paid tournament entries, supported the travel, celebrated the good rounds, picked me up after the bad ones and continued to believe in me through every setback.I would not be standing here without them. But the transition from amateur and college golf into the professional game is different. The costs increase significantly, and we have reached a point where we cannot fund this journey alone. That's why I've created this fundraiser through the Australian Sports Foundation.Funds raised will help support the costs associated with pursuing professional golf and competing internationally, including tournament entry fees, travel, accommodation, transport, coaching, training and other competition-related expenses.Every contribution, regardless of size, gives me a little more opportunity to focus on competing and becoming the best golfer I can be.

One opportunity to find out how far I can go
I understand that professional sport comes with no guarantees.I can't promise where this journey will take me, what tournaments I'll play in five years from now, or how far I'll ultimately make it.But there is one thing I can promise: I will work for it. I've spent years getting to this point through early mornings, long days on the golf course, thousands of hours of practice, international moves, injuries, rehabilitation, wins, losses and plenty of moments when giving up would have been easier.I don't want finances to be the reason I never get to find out how far I could have gone.So now I'm asking for a little help to take the next step.If you are able to donate, share this page with someone who may be able to help, or simply follow and support my journey, it would mean more to me and my family than I can put into words.Every donation matters. Every share matters. And every person willing to believe in what I'm trying to achieve matters. It has taken a lot of people believing in me to get from four little pink golf clubs to representing Australia. Now I have the opportunity I've been working towards for most of my life. It's time to take my shot. Thank you for helping me take it.Taylah
