    ABOUT Teddy Friend

    My name is Teddy Friend.

I’m a 19-year-old lacrosse player from Melbourne, and I’ve spent the last nine years chasing a dream, to represent Australia on the world stage.

That dream is finally within reach.

I’ve been playing lacrosse since 2016, and over the years, I’ve had the honour of competing in two U15 and two U18 National Championships. In 2023, I Co-Captained the Victorian U18 team to a National Championship victory and was named All-Star Goalie of the Tournament, a moment that made all the early mornings, late nights, and tough training sessions worth it.

Now, I’ve taken the next big step, I’ve been selected as the Alternate Goalie for the U20 Australian Men's Team, set to compete in the U20 World Cup in Jeju, South Korea, in August 2025.

Lacrosse in Australia is completely self-funded. That means I’m responsible for covering all costs associated with representing my country including travel, accommodation, tournament fees, uniforms, and more.

I’m reaching out for your support to help make this opportunity a reality. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to putting on that green and gold jersey and competing against the best in the world.

    Your contribution will directly support:

    • Flights and transport
    • Accommodation and meals
    • Tournament and training fees
    • Team uniforms and equipment

This opportunity means the world to me, and your support helps make it possible. Every donation brings me closer to chasing my dream on the world stage. Thank you for being part of the journey.
