The Bay Rugby Club is seeking to raise funds to reduce financial barriers to participation for children and young people in our community. Funding will be used to subsidise player registrations and provide essential playing and training items such as shorts, socks, and training shirts. These costs can be a significant obstacle for families in our area, and reducing them will help ensure that all young people have the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstances.

We care deeply about ensuring that sport remains accessible and inclusive for all members of our community. Rugby offers far more than physical activity — it builds confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of belonging. For many young people, particularly those at risk of social exclusion, being part of a sporting club provides structure, positive role models, and connection to a supportive community. We believe that no child should miss out on these benefits due to cost.

We will deliver this initiative through our established junior rugby programs, supported by experienced coaches, volunteers, and club administrators. Funding will be carefully managed under the club’s financial governance framework and applied directly to reducing participation costs and providing essential equipment.
