Special Olympics Melbourne Eastern Ranges is a volunteer run club giving athletes with intellectual disabilities and autism the chance to compete, grow and belong through sport.

My name is Thomas Moxey and I have Down Syndrome, I have been swimming for Special Olympics for the past 4 years, after battling Leukaemia I found swimming provided me great joy during a difficult time in my life and Special Olympics was an organisation that provided me an opportunity to compete with other athletes but more importantly enjoy what is such a great community to be involved with.

This year, Melbourne is hosting the Special Olympics national games this October and is shaping to be a highlight of the year.

I have been selected along with 34 athletes across five events to compete in this years national games for my club, which is an enormous honour and great recognition of my dedication to the sport and team I love.

To make this dream possible for me, I am raising funds to assist in achieving this goal, your donation goes directly towards making this possible, funds help keep participation costs manageable along with entry fees, Travel and accomodation.
