Hi Everyone!

My name is Toby Jones, and it is with great pride that I can say, I have once again been selected on the Australian Team to compete at the UCI Junior Track World Championships. They will be held in August again, but this year it will be in the Netherlands.

This selection has come from various achievements at the National Championships earlier this year in which I won the Individual Pursuit, Omnium, Madison and Team Pursuit.

After coming 7th in the Individual Pursuit last year in China, I’m hoping to go one step further and reach the podium this year and am also hoping to race a bunch race. We came fourth in the Team Pursuit last year, setting three new National Records in the process. As three of the male endurance riders are coming back this year, we hope to be competitive again.

Although I will receive non-financial support from the AusCycling coaches and staff, I still need to pay the AusCycling levy. This year it will be in the vicinity of $12,000, to cover:

• flights and luggage
• accommodation
• food and nutrition
• clothing and race kit
• pre-Championships Camp
• UCI race licence
• travel insurance
• support staff costs

Since this trip is self-funded, any support given will be greatly appreciated. This fundraiser does not include my ongoing cycling expenses, just the levy for Junior World Championships.
