Trixie’s Story

Trixie is a young Aboriginal netballer working towards the next stage of her development in the sport she loves.

Last season she competed in Division 2 Under 13's and in 2026 joins a new association and club. With 3 months training completed Trixie is looking strong to start the 2026 winter season.

Netball has is a very important part of Trixie’s life. It supports her confidence, resilience and sense of belonging. Trixie lives with Generalised Anxiety Disorder, and becoming more vocal about the importance of access and inclusion for all.

As a metro-based Aboriginal athlete, Trixie unfortunately does not qualify for many Indigenous sport programs that are designed specifically for regional and remote communities. Because of this, in 2025 we began to reach out to businesses to assist with costs associated with her development, including registrations, uniforms, specialist footwear, strength and conditioning, development programs, mentoring and wellbeing support.

We are deeply grateful for the amazing support from our community who have stepped forward to help make Trixie’s journey possible. Knowing that people believe in her and are willing to support her goals has had a powerful impact on her confidence and motivation.

Trixie is incredibly proud to be sponsored and works hard to make those who invest in her proud of her.
