Trixie is a young Aboriginal netballer working towards her next stage of development.

She has completed Division 2 Under 13s and was talent identified by her new club. She is currently engaged in a club development academy as she prepares for upcoming Association trials.

Netball has become an important part of Trixie’s life, supporting her confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging. She lives with Generalised Anxiety Disorder, and netball has been a positive and protective factor for her wellbeing, providing structure, connection, and purpose.

As a metro-based Aboriginal athlete, Trixie is unfortunately not eligible for much of the Indigenous funding available to regional and remote players. Her family therefore supports the ongoing costs of registrations, uniforms, specialist footwear, development programs, mentoring, and wellbeing support.

We are deeply grateful for the community of supporters who help make Trixie’s journey possible. She is very proud to be supported and encouraged as she continues to grow as both an athlete and a young person.
