    ABOUT Tylah Hutton

Hi, my name is Tylah Hutton.

I started rowing at Brisbane Girls Grammar School and have now been rowing for nine years. What began as a school sport quickly became something I fell in love with - and over the years it has grown into a pursuit that has shaped so much of who I am.

This year, following a strong performance at the Australian Selection Regatta, I was incredibly honoured to be selected to represent Australia in the Women’s Four at the 2026 FISU World University Rowing Championships, taking place in London, Ontario, Canada from 13–15 August 2026.

This will be my first time competing for Australia internationally, and my second opportunity to represent Australia after being selected in the 2024 Trans-Tasman Team. Wearing the green and gold has been something I’ve worked towards for many years, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Outside of rowing, I completed my Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) last December at the University of Queensland and am currently balancing a demanding training schedule alongside my pharmacy internship program and work. Preparing for international competition means early mornings, long training days and fitting work and study commitments around high-performance sport.

Competing internationally also comes with a significant financial commitment. Alongside travel, accommodation and competition expenses, there are also athlete contribution fees and preparation costs involved. I am aiming to raise $8,500 to help make this campaign possible and allow me to commit fully to training and representing Australia.

Any contribution, big or small, genuinely means so much to me. Your support will directly help me get to Canada and compete on the world stage in my first international campaign.

Thank you for being part of the journey and supporting me as I take on this opportunity.
