As the national governing body for university sport, UniSport Australia delivers exceptional sports, health, and wellbeing experiences to our universities and communities.

UniSport is responsible for the participation of student-athletes at an international level during the elite Summer and Winter Universiades taking place biennially, as well as at more than 20 International University Sport Federation (FISU) World University Championships and University World Cups worldwide.

Student-athletes representing Australia at such events are known as ‘UniRoos’ and are recognised as some of the nation’s most talented athletes. The UniRoos program provides emerging student-athletes with a critical pathway to international competition, helping them develop the skills, experience and resilience needed to progress and perform on the world stage. The UniRoos are student‑athletes proudly representing Australia. Support their journey as they compete on the world stage. Competing against the world’s best university athletes, the UniRoos teams represent Australia and their university with pride.

With an extensive list of former UniRoos going on to compete and medal at Olympic and Commonwealth Games, play high-level professional sport, and become globally renowned athletes, the program is an excellent platform for future sporting success.
