ABOUT Vincent Morris
What started as a love of the game has become an opportunity few young athletes ever experience.
After helping the Queensland U16 SunDevils achieve an undefeated State Championship campaign, Vincent has earned selection in the 2026 Australian U16 Outbacks National Team.
Out of the many talented athletes who trialled from across the country, fewer than one in three were selected, making this achievement a true reflection of Vincent's dedication, perseverance & commitment to his sport.
Vincent's journey hasn't always been easy. Like many young athletes, he has faced setbacks, challenges & moments of self-doubt. What sets him apart is his determination to keep showing up, keep learning & keep working toward his goals. Through countless hours of training, sacrifice & unwavering commitment, he has earned the privilege of wearing the Green & Gold, representing Australia on the international stage.
In July, Vincent will travel to Sydney for an intensive five-day training camp alongside the country's best young gridiron players. There, he will take part in elite coaching, team development & high-performance preparation before the team travels to Auckland, New Zealand, to take on New Zealand in an international representative match.
American Football in Australia is entirely self-funded, the costs associated with representing Australia are the responsibility of each player's family. These expenses include national team fees, travel, accommodation, uniforms, equipment, & participation in the elite training camp.
All donations made through the Australian Sports Foundation to Vincent’s campaign are 100% tax‑deductible, creating a fantastic opportunity for local businesses & our community to support a dedicated emerging athlete.
Vincent is incredibly grateful for the encouragement & support he has received throughout his journey so far & looks forward to making everyone proud when he pulls on the Australian jersey this July.
