ABOUT Zaeden Kitching-Ely
My name is Zaeden, and I’m an aspiring rugby league/union athlete with a deep passion for my sport and a strong commitment to making it my career. I am reaching out to you today to seek your support as I take the next steps in my journey toward achieving my dreams.
To date, I’ve had the privilege of achieving numerous accolades and representing my region and state in both rugby league and rugby union. Some of my proudest moments include:
- 2020: Selected to represent the Cassowary Coast and Peninsula Region in rugby league (though the competition was canceled due to COVID).
- 2021: Represented Peninsula in rugby league at the U11 level in Townsville.
- 2022: Represented Peninsula in both rugby league (U12) on the Sunshine Coast and rugby union (U12) in Rockhampton, where I was voted Player of the Carnival for my region.
- 2022: Junior Sportsman of the Year at Innisfail State College (Year 7).
- 2022: Broke the school’s 800m run record, which still stands today.
- 2023: Joined the Broncos Rugby League Academy.
- 2024: Selected to represent Peninsula (U14) and FNQ Rugby Union, then went on to make the QLD Country Rugby Union team.
- 2024: Joined the North Queensland Cowboys Rugby League Academy.
- 2025: Selected to represent Peninsula (U15) in rugby league in Gladstone and the North Queensland Cowboys Greenhorns Academy.
In addition to these accomplishments, I’ve been invited to attend Trinity Bay State High School, which offers a Rugby League Excellence Program coordinated by the North Queensland Cowboys. This school is a daily commute of around 160km from my home, and the program will help me develop further as an athlete.
However, this journey comes with its costs. I am seeking to raise funds to help with:
- Training costs (extra sessions, coaching, etc.)
- Trip expenses for representing my region and state at competitions
- Training gear and supplements to ensure I stay in peak condition
I’m extremely committed to my training and development, putting in hours of extra work beyond my regular school and club sessions, including fieldwork, sprinting, weights, and conditioning. This sport is not only something I am deeply passionate about, but it’s also an opportunity for me to build relationships, prove myself among the best, and eventually give back to the community and local club that has supported me throughout this journey.
Your support would mean the world to me and help me reach my goal of becoming a professional rugby player. Any donation, big or small, would go directly toward ensuring I have the resources needed to succeed.
Thank you for considering supporting my journey. I look forward to the possibility of sharing my success with you and giving back to the community that has helped me grow.
If you would like to discuss how you can contribute or have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at 0413072310 or michaelely__90@hotmail.com
Thank you for your time and support.
Warm regards,
Zaeden Kitching-Ely
