Hi! My names Zoe and I’m an 19 year old long and triple jumper. I have been doing athletics ever since I was 6 years old, and started my journey at Townsville Central Little Athletics. I moved to Brisbane after accepting a scholarship at St Peter’s College in year 10, where I boarded until year 12. Currently I am living in Brisbane, studying nutrition and dietetics at QUT, as well as working and training most days! It is a big adjustment living away from home and it can be difficult to juggle my sport, uni and working obligations.

In April, I competed at the 2025 Australian Nationals in Perth where I placed 1st in both long and triple jump in the u20 age group. I jumped a  personal best of 6.25m in long jump which assisted with my selection into the Australian Team to compete at the 2025 Mini Pacific Games in Palau in June! It was my second Australian team, however my first ever international competition venue and a huge honour. Despite injuring myself during my long jump warm up, the trip gave me a taste of international competition and the ability to connect with other ambitious athletes.

Next year I move into the open age group. The competition will be at the next level, but I aspire to make an open Australian team. To attain this goal, I will need to travel and compete across the world in high class meets to earn valuable ranking points. Ultimately my major goal, which I have held since I first started athletics, is to make the Commonwealth Games and the 2028+2032 Olympic Games. I have big dreams, but I know dreams alone are not enough, I am determined and committed to attaining my goals and though I know there will be obstacles along the way, I won't give up.
