    ABOUT Zoe Waterman

    Wynnum West, QLD

Zoe started playing volleyball at 11 years old, following in the footsteps of her two older sisters.  Why spend time hanging around court side watching when you can join in? After only 2 years of playing she now has her sights set on BIG things in the volleyball world. Having represented Queensland in both beach and indoor volleyball her next aim is playing for Australia, eventually proudly playing for Australia at the 2032 Olympics in her hometown.  But for now, it’s taking the first step in aiming to make the 2027 U17 Aisa Championships team proudly wearing the green and gold.  And she is on track having just finished a stay at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra as part of the initial training squad for the Asia Champs.

Zoe comes from a Brisbane family of 5 where all three sisters are part of the volleyball community and love nothing more than having a hit in the back garden at home.  Mum and dad embrace the crazy of being a sporting family and happily support Zoe’s goal of playing for Australia.  But all this comes at a cost.  Financial support from the wide community would assist with competition fees, travel, training, uniforms, physio and the list goes on.  With at least 5 interstate training camps and then an overseas competition we would love to see the community get behind Zoe and make a donation to the ASF.
