My name is Sharna Godfrey and I am an Athlete on the Australian Womens Ice Hockey Team competing at the 2026 World Championships in Bled, Slovenia.

    This coming April, I will be representing the Australian National Women’s Ice Hockey Team at the IIHF World Championships held in Bled, Slovenia.


    As many of you may or may not know, the financial costs of playing hockey in Australia are quite high, and funding is very limited. Competing at this level is a significant financial strain on all players. Due to unforeseen circumstances in the Middle East, we are facing unexpected additional costs for alternative travel arrangements to compete at this year's tournament.
