Old Scotch Football Club

Old Scotch Football Club

The Old Scotch Football Club joined the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) in 1921. In 1992, the Club moved from Yarra Park (now the site of the Tennis Centre) to its present home at the Camberwell Sports Ground where it has become one of the premier sporting organisations within the City of Boroondara.

While maintaining a strong relationship with Scotch College, the Club has also forged strong links with Camberwell High School and the Camberwell Sharks who play in the Yarra Junior Football League). Our vision is “to create an inspirational environment for the development of young people” and make Old Scotch a “destination club” for young people – men and women – from within the local community who wish to play Australian Rules Football. While on-field success is our key objective, the Club has also taken the decision to provide our players with access, should it be required, to welfare and support programs to deal with personal issues in a confidential and discrete manner. The Club has committed to meeting some of the up-front costs of these support programs.

As the Club celebrates it’s centenary year our need for additional funding and resourcing continues to be one of the Club’s greatest challenges as we seek to expand our presence within the local community. The Club is now seeking your financial support to enable us to:

  • Continue to improve the Club’s social and playing facilities;
  • Support the development of women’s football at Old Scotch and the community more broadly;
  • Attract high quality coaches, invest in additional equipment and continue to improve the Club’s training facilities;
  • Provide our players with access to welfare and support programs to deal with personal issues in a confidential and discrete manner.

We are absolutely committed to providing players and staff with the resources required to enjoy on-field success. Equally, our aim is to become a Club that young people want to be a part of and also be an active participant in the local community in both growing Australian Rules Football and encouraging and supporting healthy lifestyles.

Your support would be much appreciated and will greatly assist us in achieving our vision for the future.
