Football Operations Funding Program The Aberfeldie Sports Club is a community based sporting club situated in the heart of the Moonee Valley area, fielding female and male junior & senior teams to compete in the Essendon and District Football League (Football & Netball), the Victorian Turf Cricket Association & the North West Metropolitan Cricket Association. Like many aspects within local communities, the operations of the football section have been severely impacted and has experienced a significant disruption to normal activities arising from COVID-19. As a result, the club is exposed to financial headwinds and pressures through a reduction in revenue, which are expected to continue for some time. The football section has worked hard over a number of years to set up and establish a sustainable platform to enable local footballers of all ages to participate in a structured and well supported program, and at a club where families, partners and the local community alike come together to share a great experience. To enable us to continue to deliver an optimal football experience for our community, the club has established an Operations Funding Program where donations will be used to support the operational and day to day aspects of the junior and senior football sections. We are calling on the Aberfeldie Sports Club community, supporters, and all members of the local community to donate to provide financial assistance to our Club. Through the partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, all donations over $2 are tax deductible, and all donations no matter what value will be greatly appreciated by the club. Sam Bonser Fencing Season For those who are unaware, I have been a fencer for nearly all my life and over the last 11 years at State, National and International level. Not only have I been selected as a member of the Australian Fencing Squad for the 2023/2024 Fencing Season!! But I have also been selected to represent Australia at this year's Men's Sabre World Cup. Some of my achievements - Victorian State Sabre Champion - 2022 - Captained Victoria in Sabre teams at three national competitions (2017, 2019 and 2022). - 6th at Oceanic Championships 2022 representing Australia - 3rd in teams representing Australia at Oceanic Championships 2022 - 3rd in Teams representing Victoria - National Championships 2019 and 2021. I plan on competing at the below events as I strive to improve my national/international ranking before 2024. - Perth AFC individuals and teams - October 1st - Completed - Sydney AFC - October 30th- Completed - State Championships Teams and Individual - Melbourne - November - Completed - National Championships Melbourne - 1st of December, Teams and individuals. - Fencing World Cup - Padua - Italy - March 2024 - Will be representing Australia here in both the individual and teams events - Fencing Grand Prix - Seoul- May2024 - Will be representing Australia here in the individual event. I really appreciate any support as all of my Fencing is paid for out of my own pocket and I regularly spend over $10,000 a year competing, training and traveling.

Challenge Stream VEO Project Hi all, I hope this email finds you well and that you have enjoyed a restful and enjoyable break. The purpose of this communication is to send an expression of interest for Donations to purchase two New VEO Cameras for the Challenge stream. As you know the cameras are an extremely valuable tool for post match analysis for team, player and coaching development. It also greatly assists the Football Department in the construction of individual development plans and team objectives. I appreciate that you have all given so much to the program in time and money already, but I/we truly believe this to be a worthy cause for the betterment of the program. Any gift no matter how small will be greatly appreciated and will go towards the development of your child and the teams in the Challenge Stream for many years to come. Newcastle To Bathurst Fundraising Bike Ride The Merewether Greens Rugby Foundation is excited about the inaugural Newcastle to Bathurst Fundraising bike ride event in March. MCRC Welfare and Wellbeing Working Group has implemented a unique program that supports its junior and senior players, coaches and managers to access psychological services and we have ambitions of tackling concussion and injury rehabilitation over the coming years. Our club recently engaged NewPsych to create the “Greens Assistance Program”, offering confidential mental health counselling and support to our Greens community. The club has identified the importance of both mental and physical well-being for its players and community and is committed to delivering these services. This is a groundbreaking initiative for a local rugby club and a first for the Hunter. Given the significant cost of these services, we are aiming to raise $100K to support the welfare and well-being program. A group of adventurous souls will embark on an epic 3-day ride from Newcastle to Bathurst to culminate with our yearly preseason club trials against Bathurst Rugby Club. The ride will depart Newcastle on Thursday 21 March arriving into Bathurst Saturday 23 March 2024. If you can please show your support by donating an amount, big or small and help us reach our goal of supporting the wellness and wellbeing of our players. The Merewether Greens Rugby Foundation has been established with the sole purpose of supporting the development of the Merewether-Carlton Rugby Club, a member of the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union, in its on- and off-field endeavours. These are the club’s guiding objectives which are fully supported by the Foundation: Securing our club’s future Promoting social inclusion and community engagement On-field success through pursuit of elite performance Providing development and pathway opportunities for young players To meet those objectives, The Merewether Rugby Foundation will serve as the club’s fundraising arm, providing a vehicle for players, sponsors, friends and supporters to offer cash and in-kind donations and engage in fund-raising activities. The Foundation proposes to utilize the auspicing arrangements available through the Australian Sports Foundation to maximise the opportunity for tax deductible donating. The Foundation has been established as a separate entity from the club, and has a company trustee with a board comprising eight Directors with a diverse range of experience and professional skills, all sharing a passion to see the Club continue to thrive into and achieve all of its objectives.

Super honoured to have been selected and excited to be representing "The Irukandjis" at this years Junior ISA. In 2022 we now have 10 senior teams with 3 Men's Football, 5 Netball & 2 Women's Football. Recently I have been selected to represent my country in the U20 Australian Outback team, in the 2024 IFAF World Cup, this was a huge blessing and opportunity that provides me with the ability to showcase my talent and to represent my family and club in Canada in June. Unfortunately with this level of representation, comes with a great cost and I’m asking for your help. People who know me or who have been around me, understand how much of an opportunity this means to me and that I have been chasing this dream of American Football for quite some time. I have been in love with the game and the opportunity that this brings to myself and to my family is something that I’ll never take for granted. Football has brought me the ability to become a better individual in so many ways, it has taught me love, hard work, respect, discipline, dedication, accountability, to be gracious in both winning and defeat and most importantly the people I have met who have played with me, against me or coached me is a great privilege.
