The Albert Park Yacht Club is a non-profit organisation with over 150 years of sailing history, our purpose and mission is to advance the sport of sailing by encouraging people to learn to sail, by giving members opportunities to develop sailing and yacht racing skills. Albert Park Yacht Club offers a safe and convenient place to sail year round in the heart of the city. The Club continues to serve its members and attract new people to sailing, to introduce them to a sport that they can stay with throughout their lives and provides a wonderful connection to community.

Our club is financially viable and has run with a funds surplus for many years, but that surplus is insufficient to allow us to improve our facilities to accommodate more women participants in our sport. Our peak body (Aust Sailing) along with our club are aiming for gender equity in participation in our sport by 2032. To achieve this, we need to undertake major structural work.
