Raising funds to provide scholarship opportunities to accredited ASCA strength and conditioning (S&C) coaches to assist with professional development. As the Peak Body for S&C Coaches in Australia the ASCA will identify those up and coming coaches who would not necessarily have the resources to further develop their coaching skills. The ASCA Board, all of whom are or who have worked at the elite level of sport, have identified that many up and coming coaches struggle to gain successful full time employment within the industry unless they have exposure to an elite sporting environment. The ASCA Scholarship Fund intends to bridge this identified gap in S&C Coach education where many have the theoretical qualifications but very little practical experience. Our Goals: • To increase the capabilities of S&C Coaches working within the Australian Sporting structures • To establish a self-sustaining scheme to cultivate and advance S&C Coaches.
