Why a luncheon

The BSA is funded by government and supported by partners TAC, Deakin, Corio Bay Health group and others. Funding has not increased since 2007 yet the BSA value to the community has increased significantly. In order to maintain the current level of provision to sport in our region further revenue is required. We are offering a tax deductible contribution through the Australian Sports Foundation with the benefits of 2 excellent network opportunities as well as some engaging speakers.

Types of support BSA offer

We have 8 partner sports and in 2016 have 15 individual athletes from various other sports. Members of the BSA are offered weekly strength and conditioning, gym membership at Leisure-link, medical network, expert coaching opportunities, quality education sessions (nutrition, goal setting, sports psychology, injury prevention, leadership, driver safety, public speaking etc) as well as advice on travel, funding support and mentoring. The BSA have also taken over the Bis Sport grant which we run a fundraising breakfast for each year.

Benefits to Friends of BSA

You will become our Inner Sanctum members and be provided a ticket to attend our two major fund raising and networking events. Firstly you will have a seat at our exclusive luncheon and will be capped at 20 guests. You will also be provided a seat at the Bis Sport breakfast and seated with the other Friends of BSA members. You will again be provided a nice meal, a special guest speaker and an opportunity to further network with well respected business identities.

How is my donation tax deductible?

We have partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to enable donations to be tax deductible. The ASF was established in 1986 by the Australian Government to assist organisations to fundraise for the development of sport.

How do I sign up to be a Friends of BSA member?

In order to register and pay for the Inner Sanctum experience you can contact Cameron Loftus and complete the booking form provided. This will comprise a cost for the luncheon and a requested tax deductible donation to support the BSA.
