Why a luncheon
The BSA is funded by government and supported by partners TAC, Deakin, Corio Bay Health group and others. Starting in 2006 the BSA value to the community has increased significantly each year since. In order to maintain the current level of provision to sport in our region further revenue is required. We are offering a tax deductible contribution through the Australian Sports Foundation with the benefits of 2 excellent network opportunities as well as some engaging speakers.
Types of support BSA offer
We have 7 partner sports and in 2024 have 17 individual athletes from various other sports. Members of the BSA are offered weekly strength and conditioning, gym vouchers at Leisure-link, medical network, expert coaching opportunities, quality education sessions (nutrition, goal setting, sports psychology, injury prevention, leadership, driver safety, public speaking etc). The BSA have also runs the Bis Sport grant which we fund via a fundraising breakfast each year. In this time we have granted over $150,000.
Benefits to Friends of BSA
You will become our Inner Sanctum members and be provided a ticket to attend our two major fund raising and networking events. Firstly you will have a seat at our exclusive luncheon and will be capped at 25 guests. You will also be provided a seat at the Bis Sport breakfast and seated with the other Friends of BSA members. You will again be provided a nice meal, a special guest speaker and an opportunity to further network with well respected business identities.
How is my donation tax deductible?
We have partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to enable donations to be tax deductible. The ASF was established in 1986 by the Australian Government to assist organisations to fundraise for the development of sport.
How do I sign up to be a Friends of BSA member?
In order to register and pay for the Inner Sanctum experience you can make a $901 donation via this ASF Project. Alternatively you can contact Cameron Loftus for assistance.
*You will pay an additional $99 for the luncheon due to the fact as part of the ASF guidelines we are not allowed to provide anything for your donation.
