The cost of running a Premier cricket club continues to rise each year, with expenses approaching $200,000 last season. In season 2020/21, we face even greater challenges just to get our senior and junior teams out on the park.
Not only do we face the challenge of COVID-19, but also the cost of refurbishment of our clubrooms which will necessitate funding required for new tables and chairs in the social room. We’re also anticipating a reduced amount from Cricket Victoria following their own problems, and increasing costs in a number of areas including cleaning for COVID-19 which we have been advised may cost in the vicinity of $7,000-$8,000 through the season.
As a practical example, it may well be that each player will have to have their own designated cricket ball for the season that they will have to sanitise each training session.
While we have great support from our sponsors and club members, our growth and progress toward the best Premier Cricket club in Victoria is confined by our limited budget. The CMCC Special Purpose Fund allows those willing and able to do so to make a tax deductible financial contribution in addition to their CMCC Club membership.
You can donate to the CMCC Special Purpose to assist our supplementary running costs in the following ways:
> COVID-19 Cleaning - $30
> Purchase a chair for the new Club Rooms (your/family name engraved) - $80
> Player Subs Hardship Fund for those affected financially by COVID-19 - $125
> Any other amount you wish to donate
To assist in our quest to become the best Premier Cricket club in Victoria, please support the CMCC Special Purpose Fund by making a tax deductible donation today.
