CSALT ACADEMY is the official internship program of Christian Surfers Australia.

CSALT stands for “Christian Surfers Australia Leadership Training”. It is a training journey with the purpose of equipping and empowering young adults to live out of a rich and genuine relationship with God and through this transform the world around them.

Having made its home on Phillip Island in 2022, students live in community at CSALT HQ and experience grass roots Christian Surfers programs in Phillip Island and are equipped to take this experience back to their home break.

With faith and surfing as the two compounds together forming the CSALT glue, our students experience ‘life to the full’ as the road trip around Australia, New Zealand and not to mention the CSALT hallowed pilgrimage to Rote Island Indonesia. For our students these adventures are all about experiencing other cultures, learning to surf with a purpose and have the space and time to explore Gods calling on their lives.

Central to CSALT Academy experience and in partnership with Alphacrucis College, CSALT Academy offers fully accredited ministry and discipleship training. In 2023 our students will have first-hand experience in putting their training into action through supporting the local youth of Phillip Island and the Bass Coast at our weekly community youth event ‘The Green Room’. The Green Room is where fun, faith and surfing collide in a boiling pot of youth culture, personal growth and faith formation.

So as you can see CSALT Academy is an environment designed forge lasting positive transformation in the lives of young people who intern impact their surfing communities with the love of God causing further transformation and growth.
