Community Rowing Club, an initiative of Balmain Para Rowing Program Inc, has been supporting rowers with disabilities for over a decade and now has the opportunity to develop a community based rowing facility that caters for not only persons with disabilities, but also rowing for young persons, rowing for persons with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island heritage and rowing for persons from all backgrounds in the community. The new community facility will enable open access to the water, improve the amenity for residents and users of Leichhardt Park and Iron Cove, and provide new opportunities for people including those with disabilities to access this unique waterway.

The task now before the Program is to raise the funds necessary to obtain drawings and documentation for a Development Application to submit to the Council and once approved, to raise the funds to build the facility.
