    Access To The Game

    Removing barriers to participation.

The Cricket Victoria Foundation uses its funding to drive participation which reflects the Victorian community through our support of partnerships with Melbourne Deaf, Blind and All Abilities Cricket Associations.

The Foundation annually supports Victoria’s best Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Blind and Low Vision and ID (Intellectual Disability) cricketers in travelling and competing at the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC).

This championship forms an important representative pathway for cricketers as part of Australian cricket’s elite development pathway, with the aim of having more cricketers with a disability represent Australia at the highest level.

    Building The Future

    Developing people and pathways.

The Cricket Victoria Foundation’s Girls Leadership Program’s provides leadership skills, coaching and training for young women (14-16 years old) to engage with cricket as future leaders, captains, coaches, future administrators and volunteers.

Through the funding of the Cricket Victoria Foundation, the program reaches over 120 participants and in both metro and regional Victorian locations.

Developed in collaboration with former Australian and Victorian cricketer Belinda Clark AO and her company, The Leadership Playground, the program offers personal development and leadership training, while also providing valuable insights into the diverse roles within cricket, both on and off the field.

    Strengthening Community Wellbeing

Using cricket to foster belonging and resilience.

Through the Cricket Victoria Foundation, tertiary education scholarships provide an important educational pathway for young First Nations people, plus a connection to cricket.

Students of the Melbourne Cricket Education Academy (MCEA) take their experience back to their communities, building capability at an individual level and visibility of training and education opportunities in cricket for First Nations people.

The newly launched Scott Boland Indigenous Scholarship is designed to support the development of students through higher education, providing a unique environment to complete their studies. Each scholarship is tailored to the individual student, covering tuition fees and additional expenses necessary for their equitable participation in education. The scholarship forms part of the Foundation’s First Nations pillar that looks to address the inequitable participation of First Nations peoples in cricket; both on and off the field.
