The Orange Golf Club Ltd trading as "Duntryleague" serves the Orange community as one of Australia's premier regional golf clubs, a Heritage Listed Guest House and a hub for social activity to the community. Golf is the main attraction for members and guests, however, Duntryleague is a very popular venue for weddings and functions for all different types or organisations. The old mansion built by James Dalton in 1876 is one of Australia's most important buildings and is the city's icon featuring in most promotions carried out around the city. It operates now as a guest house and function centre and is very popular with visitors to the city of Orange. As a golf club, Duntryleague, is passionate about promoting the sport of golf and is always active in the community introducing children and adults of all ages to the sport. The golf course itself is often referred to as a botanical garden. Given the history and beauty of Duntryleague and everything attached to it, it is important that it is preserved and properly maintained for all the generations in the years to come.
