The EDPL was formed in 1973. From small beginnings with six original teams, there are now over 40 teams, 16 clubs and 450 members.

On and off for many years, the EDPL has been considering whether it should look at purchasing a property and providing a venue for competition.

Since COVID, this has become more of a priority as many pubs and clubs are restricting the use of their tables for competition. This threatens the existence of clubs and results in fewer members being actively engaged in EDPL activities.

Ultimately, this could significantly impact the EDPL’s ambition to be the preferred league for Eight Ball players in Melbourne.

We aim to raise approx. $500,000+ to assist with purchasing a property to be fitted out as a modern venue for the use of the EDPL members and the local community.

Together with borrowings, this is likely to be a project totalling over $1.5m, so your generous support from individuals and organisations would be much appreciated.
