School aged riders from all regions of the Northern Territory have been competing throughout 2022/23 to gain qualifications to be considered for the NT Interschool Team, that will compete at the 2023 Marcus Oldham Australian Interschool Championships to be held at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, Victoria next month in September.

Meet our NT Team:

• Lalwa May - Captain. Darwin based rider, 16 years old competing in Jumping.
• Bridie McKenna - Vice Captain. Darwin based rider, 15 years old competing in Jumping.
• Maya Purdon. Darwin based rider, 15 years competing in Dressage and Combined Training.
• Layne Martin. Darwin based rider, 14 years old competing in Jumping.
• Georgia Dennis. Darwin based rider, 14 years old, competing Jumping and Combined Training.
• Bailey Howie. Darwin based rider, 9 years old competing in Dressage and Combined Training.
• Sheena Huppatz Team Manager

Athletes and their families incur significant costs to compete in this competition. Along with the exorbitant cost of training and travel, this can wear heavily on our athletes and their families.

Our aim to raise enough money to lessen the financial burden placed on our athletes, so they are able to continue to compete in the highest level of Interschool competition within Australia.
