The Essendon Football Club is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Australian sport and has a history spanning more than 150 years.

In this time, we have received significant contributions from our supporters to help the club achieve its ambitions.

The Essendon Football Club’s ‘Our Fabric’ Bombers Foundation is the new philanthropic arm of the Club, established to support and build our Club’s future. We have gone through much change over the last 12 months and as we embark on this new chapter and begin building for our future, ‘Our Fabric’ will become the Essendon Football Clubs backbone to success.

The purpose of Our Fabric is to raise vital funds which will be invested into key initiatives across the Club to create long term success both on and off the field and ensure we continuously hold that competitive advantage to bring home that premiership cup. 

Our vision is to be the most respected, inclusive, and successful club in Australian sport. If we are to set the benchmark on and off the field, we must continue to invest in our football program, our facilities, honor our past and reinstate our club as a community leader and reconnect with our lifeblood – our supporters. 

From the northern suburbs of Melbourne to the Northern Territory of Australia - and everywhere in between - we are all part of the Mighty Bombers. Proud to be red and black. And proud to Don the Sash.

Donations towards Our Fabric will be invested within four key strategic pillars, all vital parts of our incredible football club. These key elements are the fabric of our club, the thread that ties us all together and that will take us forward in this new chapter:

Our Premierships:

Our Premierships is all about driving performance outcomes to support our premiership ambitions.

Our Premierships will support all AFL, AFLW, VFL & VFLW High Performance equipment needs, talent identification programs, player development programs, coaches and football staff development programs and sport science initiatives.

Our Heartland:

Our Heartland is where we ‘live’. The beating heart of our club. 

Our Heartland pillar will support the clubs’ strategic projects, capital works, one-off facility upgrades, and infrastructure needs. 

Our Heritage:

Our Heritage Pillar will help support, maintain and preserve our incredible history. 

Whether this is recognizing and connecting with our past players and staff, preserving, and restoring our memorabilia and artifacts, or updating and maintaining our Glory and Fame Museum so that our history remains accessible to our supporters.

 Our Community:

Our Community Pillar is about continuing the Clubs pioneering work within the community and will have a focus on restoring our leadership position within Indigenous communities. 

It will support the development of new initiatives and the club’s current community programs such as the Tiwi Academy, Essendon Wheelchair Football Team, and extended support of The Long Walk, Paralympics Australia, and Challenge.

In partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, all donations towards Our Fabric are fully tax-deductible. No gift is too small and with your support, your donation will play a vital role in ensuring the Essendon Football Club achieves its key objectives.
