The Catholic Cup is a new community-focused golf program. The program includes an annual cycle of skills development, qualification and competition that features:

• a supportive environment underpinned by accredited Golf NSW-delivered training that provides new golfers with the foundations to start their successful golf journey;
• a new golfing association and subsidised green fees that provides an affordable pathway for new and returning golfers to obtain a WHS golf handicap and engage with the broader golfing community;
• 6-9 months of open, fair competition where participants of all beliefs, levels of experience, ability, age and social-economic background can enhance their skills in a family-friendly, community-focused environment and strive to qualify for a new nationally-significant championship; and
• a championship event where qualifiers compete for the Catholic Cup trophy and, together with second-tier champions, win the right to shape how the prize pool is distributed for the public good.

The Catholic Cup is the combined initiative of Golf NSW, Sydney Archdiocese and the founders of the Catholic Cup. All donations will be administrated by Golf NSW to create and deliver the frameworks needed to deliver a new nationally-significant golf program, subsidise participation costs for those suffering financial hardship, attract investment, generate publicity and contribute towards the prize pools that enable wonderful sport of Golf to provide back to the community.
