Haydn Barron

Haydn Barron

A little about Haydn…

Growing up in Western Australia, Haydn Barron began golfing at the age of 16 after playing almost all sports growing up. He was a highly talented baseball and tennis player with a natural talent for bat and ball sports.

Having completed his schooling at Trinity College in 2013, he moved his focus onto his career as a golfer with the plan to one day join the professional ranks.

As an amateur, Haydn traveled to Europe and America to gain experience and build on his craft, whilst experiencing all that comes with being a golfer on the road.

During Haydn’s amateur career he achieved some great success and compiled many highlights..

  • 2020 T2 - Riversdale Cup (Vic)
  • 2020 T5 - Avondale Amateur 2020 (NSW)
  • 2020 - Runner up in the Western Australian (PGA Australia event)
  • 2020 - Medallist at the Western Australian Amateur (including a course record 63)
  • 2020 & 2021 - Roy Paxton Trophy winner for WA's lowest scoring average
  • 2021 - Champion 2021 Spalding Park Open

Selected in representative teams, Haydn was chosen to represent Australia in the 2019, 4-man team for the Nomura Cup, to be played in Hong Kong and the 6-man National team to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific Amateur in Dubai. Unfortunately, like many of the events Haydn planned to play Covid-19 impacted both events and they were cancelled.

Turning professional in 2021 Haydn was quick to establish that he belongs on the Professional Tour, delivering some fantastic results.

  • 2023 - Gaining his DP World Tour card
  • 2023 - Played in the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool
  • 2023 - T25 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
  • 2023 - 2nd Western Australian PGA
  • 2022 - T4 Australian Open (qualifying for the Open)
  • 2022 - T12 Australian PGA Order of Merit
  • 2022 - PGA Australasia Rookie of the Year

Haydn is passionate about his golf and loves the opportunities he can experience through playing the game. Haydn is a very popular person who attracts attention both on and off the course due to his engaging personality and his ability to make everyone feel a part of his team.

Passionate about all sports, Haydn loves Australian rules and his beloved Collingwood Football Club and loves to take his camera on tour.
