3 Day Eventing is like the triathlon of the equestrian world - it takes a special equine athlete and partnership with them to be able to compete at 5* - the highest level.

Class Action LP (aka Paddy) is a once in a lifetime horse. Therefore it's only fitting to embark on a once in a lifetime experience. Hayley and Paddy have competed nationwide around Australia and with two top 10 finishes in the 5* at the Australian International 3 Day Event they are ready to give competing overseas a red hot go! Hayley, like all high level eventing riders, is incredibly hard-working, dedicated and passionate about her horses and her sport. What most people aren't aware of is that Hayley suffered a Pulmonary Embolism in June 2018.

With Adelaide in November and still one qualifying event short of being eligible to compete, the odds were not in her favour. Undeterred, Hayley persevered and her tenaciously positive attitude saw her overcome life's challenges and go on to secure 5th place in what was both Paddy and Hayley's first attempt at 5*.

With Tokyo 2020 around the corner now is the ideal time to get out on the big stage, and while Paddy may not be the standout in the dressage (think rugby player trying very hard to do ballet) he has a heart of gold and is a cross country superstar (think Federer playing at Wimbledon).

Donating to support this journey will enable a young(ish) rider to fulfil some lifelong dreams, that despite working full time cannot be realised by her salary alone. Funds raised will go towards covering the costs of Paddy's plane ticket ($35K - sadly no frequent flyer points flights available) as well as entries, stabling, transport and accommodation while in the USA. All donations over $2 are tax deductible so if you can spare anything to support this dynamic duo please get on board their amazing journey!

UPDATE:

With all of the world events getting in the way (pandemic = no flights!) the goalposts had to change a little! Well, same goals just different horses (Dunedin Black Watch stepped up to the plate to compete at Kentucky 2023, and Dunedin My Goodness is now competing on US soil)! This incredible feat to travel internationally and campaign overseas at the big events like Kentucky continues and any support is greatly appreciated to help fund this incredible journey with 2028 and 2032 still being big years to aim towards!
