Ever since I began racing small dinghies at the age of 8, I’ve had a dream of competing on the world stage. A dream of standing upon that Olympic podium, the Australian flag wrapped around my back and gold hanging from my neck. The best of the best.

My name is Isaac Schotte, I’m 18 years old and have recently graduated high school. I am looking for your support and assistance so that I can represent our nation at some of the most prestigious events across the planet.

Since transitioning into the ILCA 7, my progress has been rapid, and with lots of hard work both on and off water, a few good results (5th U19 at the U21 World Championships and top 100 at the open World Championships this year in Adelaide), I have recently earned selection into the Australian Sailing Futures Team as the youngest member in the ILCA 7. I have made some incredible breakthrough's in my skill set in the past year and I believe my advancements will be further accelerated with this selection.

However, competitive sailing is an expensive sport, and it is extremely hard to fund my own campaign at such a young age while also training full-time. Furthermore, as I am almost an adult, I do not want to continue solely relying on my parents for financial support in covering all the costs of my travel, accommodation, charter boats, etc., as they have already done so much for me throughout my childhood.

In an attempt to overcome these challenges myself I have set up an exterior cleaning business (Pure & Pristine Pressure Washing), which I have found brings many of its own challenges. Despite being in a much better position financially compared to when I was employed as a diver a short time ago, It is still a constant battle to be able to fork out the 10's of thousands of dollars needed on a yearly basis to fund a full sailing campaign.

Any funding assistance from supporters would be graciously appreciated and would significantly aid me in covering the expenses of these regattas. Additionally, this allows me to 100% focus on my training and bringing my A-game to all events. With your support I am confident I can represent Australia well, and make my country proud.
