Jubilee Bowls Club in Mundingburra (Townsville) has projects in train to upgrade its facilities around its two synthetic bowling greens that are playable 12 months of the year under retractable shades.

Our greens are used by local bowlers for regular social competitions, for tournaments, District events (attracting bowlers from up to 800km away), and of course for barefoot bowlers – including those who use our facilities for functions. Our plans will see us introduce an academy for junior bowlers and support to programs that will increase female participation in sport. Being located in Australia’s largest garrison city, Jubilee Bowls Club additionally offers a free peer support program for Veterans and First Responders that promotes social engagement with others with similar lived experiences, whilst offering the health and wellness benefits of playing lawn bowls.

Specifically, we are wanting to upgrade our 16 rink scoreboards, obtain two master scoreboards and replace our aging rink-side shade and player seating.
