Melbourne United have always been committed to using the power of basketball to inspire and enrich the lives of those around them, and will continue to do so through the newly formed Melbourne United Foundation.

Using its key pillars of Education, Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion and Participation & Pathways, the Foundation will aim to use the reach of Melbourne United to influence positive social change through programs both on and off the court.

The Foundation will take our already strong footprint in the community to the next level by using the community to help support exciting and enriching initiatives for groups in need of assistance.

The United Foundation have established a partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation that will assist in delivering increased investment into these pillars of focus, to ensure sustainable success for the United Foundation community programs and their participants.

Donation levels and potential impacts:

Delivers a free 60 min basketball clinic to a disadvantaged school for up to 50 students. Each participant will receive a free singlet.

Provides 4 free registrations to Melbourne United Holiday Camps for children involved in Helping Hoops and other not-for-profit organisations.

Delivers a free STAND TALL program to a disadvantaged school in Melbourne or regional Victoria. A 4-week wellbeing program supporting students in Year 3&4 to embed resiliency, respect, excellence and inclusion behaviours into their classroom and playground culture.

Distributes 70 free tickets to one Melbourne United home game, to a local community group or organisation who helps make a difference in their community.

Delivers a three-hour school holiday cultural workshop in the Indigenous community across Melbourne for up to 50 kids. Each participant receives a singlet and showbag.

Provides a 12-month scholarship to the Melbourne United Basketball Academy including access to weekly training sessions, and holiday camps and events throughout the year.

Delivers a 6-week mental health and wellbeing program to a disadvantaged secondary school in Melbourne. Program will include 6x 2-hour sessions (1 hour workshop and 1 hour basketball clinic)
