Hi, my name is Mina Ferguson and I am a 49er Fx sailor, campaigning for the LA 2028 games. I am currently a member of the Australian Sailing Futures Squad.

After success in Youth Classes and the Laser Radial, I transitioned into the 49er FX Class and am now sailing with Dervla Duggan from TAS. For the past two years we have been training hard and attended various international events to build our experience

This year we will be competing at the European Championships in Greece as well as the World championships in Cagliari Italy.

In order to represent Australia at an international level, I require funds for equipment coaching, flights and accomodation and other logistics like ferries. As I get older, and begin to support myself, rather than relying on my parents, I don't want to risk not being able to compete.

Since I first started sailing I've seen an increase in competitors and coverage. The Olympics, Americas Cup and more recently Sail GP, have helped increase the profile of sailing among all Australians. It would be awesome for Australia to be known as a strong sailing nation across as many sailing classes as possible.
