The Academy was created shortly after the passing of Mt Eliza Cricket Club Life Member John Lloyd-Williams. John's sister Sue approached the club with the idea which would create an incredible legacy for John and the club, and provide a vehicle for the club to achieve it's goals in promoting and fostering the sport of cricket in the community. Sue Lloyd-Williams offer to financially support the program over a 20 year period was incredibly generous and extremely well received. the club seeks further donations to expand the operations of the academy.
