My name is Nick Donaldson, an Australian 400m sprinter. In 2022, I made the switch from the 100m to the 400m, and it’s been the most rewarding decision of my career so far. Originally from Canberra, I relocated to the Gold Coast in 2023 to train under coach Mark Ladbrook and fully commit to my goals on the national and international stage.

In October 2023, I kicked off my season with a breakthrough personal best of 45.70 — a time that currently ranks me equal 29th fastest in Australian history. That performance put me firmly on the radar, and I’ve been building ever since.

Now based full-time on the Gold Coast, I’m preparing for a big few years of racing, training, and chasing international opportunities. Every season brings new targets — national titles, World Championships, and relay representation — and with that comes a wide range of expenses.
