Push Your Limits Project

Raised

$10,409.50

Goal

$10,000.00

Wheelchair Rugby League representative player Brad Grove has launched a ‘Push your Limits’ project.

To raise funds he will push his wheelchair an average of 20km per week, finishing the challenge two weeks out from the wheelchair kick-off game at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup.

The immediate goal is to raise money for junior development.

The challenge is also aimed at helping to put the Wheelchair Rugby League community members back in competition mode after two years of interruptions and to restore their active and healthy lifestyles.

We are asking the Australian community to get behind the ‘Push your Limits’ project and provide donations so that our WRL juniors can bounce back to an active lifestyle with funded training, competitions and equipment.

WHERE WILL THE FUNDS GO?

Money raised will go to Junior Wheelchair Rugby League Development programs and activities.

PHASE ONE

Brad Grove will individually push his own wheelchair 1000km over 12 months. Starting in November 2021, he will push an average of 20km per week for approximately 10 months.

The aim is to complete the wheelchair push in the fastest time possible,

PHASE TWO

Once a week from December, there will be an open session in Sydney where community members can join if they wish to raise the profile of the challenge and get involved.

PHASE THREE

Every 4 to 6 weeks from 1 January 2022 Brad will aim to travel to NRL Wheelchair branches around Australia for a local community “Push Your Limits” session, to assist local groups to promote wheelchair rugby league and outdoor wheelchair fitness and recreation.

PHASE FOUR

Brad’s epic challenge will finish 2 weeks out from the wheelchair kick-off game at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup.
