The PEGS Hockey Club has grown rapidly in recent years and in the 2019 Winter Season fielded 11 Senior Mens, Womens and Masters teams and 5 junior teams. The club has grown to now have over 200 financial members, with our top Mens team challenging for Premier League promotion and our top Womens team getting promoted to League One for the 2020 season. In October 2019 the PEGS school board decided to embark on an upgrade of the hockey / multi-purpose fields at the Keilor Park sporting grounds. This upgrade will mean that the PEGS Hockey Club has access to a new international standard hybrid FIH approved hockey pitch with upgraded lighting capable of hosting Premier League matches, in addition to an upgraded multi-purpose pitch with lights suitable for training and playing matches outside of Premier League.

Given the large capital investment made by the school towards this facility, the PEGS Hockey Club has agreed to contribute $60,000 to the school towards the new facility – the largest financial contribution ever made by one of the past student sporting bodies. In addition to the financial contribution to the school towards the new grounds, these new facilities will also require investment from the club towards new goals, scoreboards and other supplementary equipment to complement these great new fields.
