QCYC Foundation

QCYC is located on an island which is only accessible by limited road access and boat. The surrounds are fragile and the native gardens and soils need protection from erosion. The road and wharves are also impacted by harsh weather and rough seas so ongoing maintenance is at the forefront of the Committee. Further the club house that members can use as a safe refuge requires upgrading on a regular basis. We thank all the volunteers that turn up most days to do jobs here and there but money is always needed to secure specialist assistance such as Engineers, builders, electricians, a marine biologist to ensure that the water and surrounds are safe for all.
