The gym mats at Marion have been in use for over four years, and constant setup and packing on training days have resulted in damage to the edges. This wear and tear make the mats unsafe, creating gaps between them. Currently, we arrange the setup so that the broken edges are on the outside to minimize the risk of tripping. However, with each use, more mats are damaged, and this poses a growing threat to the safety of our training sessions.

Furthermore, the training surface of the mats is wearing out, leading to increased slipperiness. This heightened slipperiness puts our athletes at a greater risk of injury. It is evident that there is an urgent need for the replacement of these mats to ensure the safety of our training environment.
