The 2024/25 bobsled season may have just wrapped up, but we’re already thinking ahead to next year—and we need your help to take our performance to the next level! One of the key needs we've identified is new runners (the blades on the bottom of the sled that help us slide along the ice). These vital pieces of equipment can make or break a race - the right runners can dramatically impact our performance, influencing everything from speed to down time based on the weather conditions.

Right now, we only have one set of runners, while top teams have 5+ — each one finely tuned for different conditions and optimised for peak performance. Having even one more set allows us the flexibility to choose which runners suit race day, prepare them earlier in the week (allowing us to rest and recover coming into races) and optimise our performance for track conditions. 

Of course, like everything else in bobsleigh, runners are expensive. A new set can be around 6,000-8,500 euro ($10,000-$14000 AUD). So instead of fundraising to cover the general cost of season, we have chosen to fundraise to contribute to the cost of a set of runners. Your donation will help us invest in the tools we need to elevate our game and push us closer to our ultimate goal!

Obviously there are so many things the team can do and will be doing to improve our performance in other areas, but this is something all of you can also help us with!!
