About the project

The South Australian National Wheelchair Basketball Team competes in the NWBL. They are a self-funded team with seasonal costs including:

  • Entry and Admin Fees
  • Flights
  • Accommodation
  • Car Hire
  • Uniforms

The South Australian Junior Kevin Coombs Cup team is a mixed team for players under the age of 25 who compete at the National Junior Championships in April with the Under 18s.

Last year the South Australian side struggled for numbers and entered a combined team with Queensland.

There costs each year include:

  • Accommodation
  • Car Hire
  • Food
  • Uniforms

The Social Reverse Inclusion Competition run each Tuesday at the Lights Recreation and Community Centre provide the opportunity for junior and senior, disabled and able-bodied players to enjoy the game of Wheelchair Basketball in a fun and welcoming environment.

The costs include:

  • Court Hire
  • Referee Payments
  • Uniforms
  • Maintenance on the hired wheelchairs
