Skipping Australia is the National Governing Body for the sport of Jump Rope in Australia, recognised by the International Jump Rope Union (IJRU) and the Australian Sporting Commission.  As a not-for-profit organisation, our mission is to elevate Jump Rope as a respected sport across Australia, Oceania, and globally. We are committed to governance, athlete support, and stakeholder engagement, operating with integrity, inclusiveness, innovation and inspiration. 

For over 20 years, Australia has been a leading country in the international jump rope competitions, proudly producing multiple individual and team world champions consistently across these years. We have also held, and currently hold, numerous world records in speed skipping events.

This year we are excited to be taking our largest ever team to the World Championships in Kawasaki, Japan in July.  Our team of 141 talented athletes have worked incredibly hard to be at the top of their sport, and they will represent our country with pride and integrity. Throughout the 8 days of competition they will compete against athletes from 36 other countries, in 250+ events, across 16 disciplines!  

To compete at this level comes with significant costs including travel, accommodation, competition fees and uniforms, so we are reaching out for your support to help these athletes make their dreams a reality.
