LA28 Olympic Cycle of Dedication, Commitment and Support

I am a proud Australian Olympic Taekwondo athlete, in the sparring feather weight -57kg division. I have competed in two Olympic cycles, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Games. My experience competing in high performance sport at the world stage has given me much success in my sporting career and life outside sport. I was awarded RMIT University Female Athlete of the year 2022 and Australia Taekwondo Senior Athlete of the year 2022. My achievements have led me to become a confident person where I aim to share my expertise and experience to school students, Taekwondo students at junior and senior levels, and lead keynote presentations to corporate businesses. Reaching two Olympic Games takes relentless work, training, recovery, dieting and competing – it requires significant financial support. The road to the Olympics is expensive, with costs for training, travel, equipment and other essentials accumulating over the years. To make another Olympics a reality, raising $100,000 is crucial to covering the necessary expenses to allow me to train at the highest potential and ultimately make it to the LA2028 Games.  As the excitement for the LA2028 Olympic Games grows, the long-term commitment and preparation continues to build. From training camps in parts of Australia, Asia and Europe the financial burden can be overwhelming. The fundraising goal will help cover critical aspects such as training expenses, competition fees, equipment and gear, physical therapy, medical care and living costs. Striving to compete at the highest level does not happen overnight – it requires support from the entire community. Through fundraising campaigns, sponsorships and individual donations, the generosity of others plays a crucial role in my pursuit of another Olympic aspiration. I am so thankful to my family, friends and supporters already coming together to help me reach my dream, and I am grateful for every new supporter to join TEAM SHYMER.
